Banner Design Contest

As you have probably noticed upon visiting this site, there is a LinkExchange banner at the top of each page. Because we have joined LinkExchange we also have a banner that is displayed on various other peoples pages. Because I have no artistic skill what so ever, the banner displayed on other sites is simply this:

Which brings me to the purpose of this contest! I need a banner. I know you DCML members have talent at creating Rosa/Barks centered pictures so I plan to give you all an incentive to create a banner. Starting today, September 22, 1999 I will begin accepting contest entries. The qualificatons are:

  • The banner must be in GIF format, with a standard 256 color pallete
  • It must be in the standard 468x60 size
  • It must contain the tittle of the page, "The Two Worlds of Don Rosa"
  • It must mention (in words or pics) that it has to do with Disney Comics
  • It must look "Rosaic". (i.e. Don't send us techno morphing banners... make it fit)
  • It may be animated, just keep the overall file size down (5 frames or less would be great)

The prize will be your choice of a $25 gift certificate to Mile High Comics, the Internet's largest American Comic Dealer or $20 in dimes (one of which could be Scrooges #1 :-) Good Luck, the contest will end on November 1st, and Anders and myself (Tristan) will judge the quality of the banners, and choose the winner. Please submit entries to Tristan.

NOTE: In order for this contest to be cost effictive, we need to see at least five different banner ads. Multiple Entries from single persons welcome!
