Sega Genesis/MegaDrive

The Genesis came out a couple years before the Super NES; This gained Sega a short term boosted sales, but as Nintendo began to make itself known, Genesis began to suffer. In an effort to gain a 1-up on its arch rival, sega added afew add-on's to its system, such as the Sega CD, and the 32FX... thing. Somehow, Nintendo won out in the end in spite of this. All this aside, a lot of great rpg's were reseaed for Sega's 16-bit system. One was Sword of Vermilion, the only 3D Dungeon game I ever really enjoyed.
